That means it's pretty safe to plant annuals and I get to do my favorite type of gardening - container gardening. I managed to sneak out a work this week to get a head start. I'll be sharing my finds and combinations in another post.

8 Herbs to Grow This Summer
by Donna MoyerYou don't need a big garden to grow herbs. Every summer I grow them on the sunniest part of my deck in pots. Herbs make great container plants. They love lots of sun and well-drained soil. You can really get creative and not just grow them together in their own containers but add them to your floral containers as well. In the past, I have used chives instead of spikes for height in the center or back of larger container. I've also added trailing herbs like different varieties of thyme to the front of containers.
